At a quarter-system school like DU, spring break is the precious week that separates winter quarter from spring quarter. It's a short short window to recouperate from finals, buy books for next quarter's classes, and catch up on life outside of grad school. Since the break is so short, every day counts. Although I did my best to make the most of my time at home, I could still use a few more days (or weeks) to catch up with loved ones and pretend that the school year is behind me.
My break in a nutshell...
-Fly to MN
- Get picked up by my lovely friend, Mason
- Have a delicious Italian meal at La Grolla in St. Paul
- Sleepover night in Cannon
- Lunch date with Mase and David
- Wine tasting at the Cannon River Winery
- Dinner with high school friends at the Mill Street Tavern
- St. Patrick's Day fun at Chuggers
- Shopping with Kates for baby Clara
- Movie with Jackie and Rachel- Mall of America outing with Mase and Joe
- Office season 6 marathon with Michael
- Reunited with Mom and Dad after their Phoenix vacation
- Cooking with Kates, Lily, and David
- Dentist Appt.
- Shopping day with Mom
- Shopping day with Mom
- Dudley's pizza
- Snuggling with Zazz
- Snuggling with Zazz
For five days, I'd call it a success.
Spring quarter, be good to me.
